I'm looking to buy a windshield for the bike (2006 Street Bob) and was wondering if ya'll had any recommendations. I'll use it for longer highway trips and remove for riding locally. So far the Memphis Shades Demon is looking good.
I'm still lovin my Windvest. It's effective enough in cooler weather but I really enjoyed my ride yesterday in 80 degree weather. Normally I would have taken the shield off by now but as soon as I do, this time of year, it'll drop back into the 50's or 60's. I've got it adjusted just right to throw the wind right over my head. And I don't get any side buffeting but I think a big reason for that is I don't usually wear any thick jackets that don't let wind pass thru. If it's cold enough to need that, I'm typically not riding anyway.
I went with the Memphis Shades Rio Grande for my '06 Bob. Sorry, no pic, but if you search the forum, you'll find some along with several recommendations.
I had the HD quick release windshield on my 06 Streetbob for a couple of years and didn't like it. The windshield is slightly ahead of the head light and when riding at night the light from the headlight reflects back in your face which is annoying and a safety issue.
I now have a Memphis Shades Slim on my bike and really like it.
