I tried to install the PCIII today. No problems getting
everything hooked up. Now the bike want start. I
even took the PC out and reconnected the O2 sensors,
still wont start. Checked the fuel pump fuse, I dont
get the high pitch sound when I turn the key on indicating
the fuel pump is on. Rechecked all the connections
everywhere in the area I was working. Can't find
the problem. Has this happened to anyone else. I'm
waiting on dealer to call back tomorrow to pick the bike up.
Which probable means no bike this Weekend.
Installed my PCIII yesterday. Runs like a raped ape with no driveability problems. It'll jerk the front tire off the ground @ second gear shift. Best it's run since I've had it. Coughing and farting is gone, surge is gone.
I hope you didn't try and change it with the ignition on. Take the seat back off and check all your connectors under there, and make sure you didn't accidentally pull one of them halfway apart, then check all your fuses. I'm sure it's something stupid.
Go with what Psycho suggested, maybe a fuse (hopefully thats all). I put one in myself with only problem was trying to stuff it somewhere, my bike takes a turn or three more before it starts, but other than that no problems.

Gets the wheel up into 2nd. Sounds powerful. Can't beat the V(twin)-neck in your photo album though.
Well, the dealer has it now. No I didn't install with
the ignition on. LOL I checked the fuses and all
connections I got anywhere near.
I did pull 3-codes off the Odo. P0261, P0263 and U1016.
I've gone over this in my head so many times, I
can't figure out what the hell I did. I let you know
what the dealer says....hopefully today. I'm a
little worried about trying again.......
After you get the code you could have pushed the reset button again to get the part number then looked that up on Harley's website or maybe even J&P Cycles website. It would have led you to the part to check.
Anyway hope it's something simple, good luck.
