I responded in an earlier thread that I received my Bub 7 2-1 from bikerhaven.net and the muffler was damaged. I sent an email to them and this morning, there was an email to me from Danny and they are going to pull a muffler out of a new set, inspect it, and send it to me. Definitely a stand-up guy. My spirits have definitely improved and now I'm excited again about getting this exhaust installed and dyno'd.
What kind of damage was it? I just put on my Bub Straight Away system and noticed some wavy chrome on the rear quarter of the heat shields, and some flappy wierd sounds when I back off the throttle and thought it could be an internal defect?

The damage was physical. The muffler was in it's own box, inside the shipping box with the other components. There was about a 1/2" perforation in the side of the muffler box and there was a small dent in the muffler on the outward side. Had it been on the inward side where it wouldn't have been visible, I wouldn't have cared.
I'll be in Kansas this week. Oldest daughter flying in from Seattle and always wants to make the casinos.

Got the new muffler a coupla days ago. No dents but some scratch's and scuff's. Screw it! I'm putting it on. Wish I could have went with the black rineharts but wouldn't have looked good on my ride. Hopefully, will get it done today and get it dyno'd and post some pics. Bad time of the year around here. Thunder storms, lightning, hail...all the good stuff. Can't ride. Been a lousy year since last November.

I just installed my black Rineharts from bikerhaven.net and I wasn't sure how the black pipes would look on my bike either but I did it anyway and I'm happy how it turned out. Not everybody's cup of tea but I'm diggin it:

Damn! they do look good. Too late for me but now I think the Rinehart 2-1's might have looked good on mine too.
