Default Question about Forward Controls AND Highway Pegs

I love my forward controls on my Low Rider, but I find that I want to stretch out even further. I've heard conflicting opinions about whether or not you can put highway pegs on a Low Rider with forward controls. Can anyone please clarify?

Thank you!

I know it's doable if you have pegs mounted on a WG style engine guard (HD 49010-93). Otherwise you're going to need a non-HD bracket of some kind (if it exists) to allow the mounting of an extended highway peg and the forward controls. Or you could consider just using an extended forward control set up. Hope this is of some help.

Kury makes these. A buddy has them on his bike and likes them.

Yes you can.

HD sells several types.

These are the ones I have.

They also have some that are more adjustable.

Check the website or parts catalog.

There are pegs out there from kury called swingwing and (I think) stilleto if you're really tall and looking to stretch your legs some. I had some swingwings and they tried to kill me but I was using them on mid-mounts. Probably not real intelligent on my part.

Are you looking to "stretch" your legs or do you just get tired of riding with your legs forced into one position? If it's the latter, look into some stirrups. My buddy has them on his '99 WG and likes them. He still complains a little bit about not enough leg movement, but I'm not sure there is a perfect solution.

The height he has his postioned they dont scrape any sooner than the forward pegs. If you postion them to low then ya they would scrape pretty quick.

My buddy has a mustache bar. You might look into one of those. I know Kury makes some.

I was faced with this same question. I looked at the Kury cruise mounts shown above but finally decided I always want my feet at the controls, especially the brake. For about the same money I would have put into the cruise mounts, I swapped my Kury standard length forwards for Kury extended forwards and then sold my standard length forwards. Couldn't be happier. My bike fits me perfectly now.
