been watching the seats for sale,on e bay and here and some other sights, would like to have a harley sundowner solo.I think? don"t see them for sale very often.would like to here from anyone who has one. and how well they like them, figure there"s a reason there not for sale very often.I would like to know if there that good of a seat.
From what I've heard, they're super comfortable but look really big. Some people think they ruin the look on certain rides (Street Bob, Wide Glide, and Fat Bob's).
I have one and use it when I plan to ride for more the 30 minutes. Sits higher then the stock seat on the FXDC, extra padding. I don't think it looks as good as some of the thinner seats but makes riding less painful. I also have the passenger pillion which I put on when my wife rides with me because the stock seat is a killer.

Exactly, I had to cut mine down in the rear a little bit as it shoved that seam in the middle of my jeans into my rear so bad it hurt.
Its very comfortable, 300 mile rides are a breeze with it.
I have a slimmer lower seat for short rides because I like the look better.
No one sees your seat when you're riding your bike......and the older and longer you ride, the more comfort you look for. Yea, a naked bike looks great with those banana thin jobs....but after 10 minutes, your butt & thighs go numb and your tail bone or back aches. Those bigger, wider seats might not be B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L........but there is a reason 99% of the riders out there rip off their stock seats and buy a Mustang, Sundowner or Corbin with more cushion, gel or something with memory foam.
The Sundowner has a 16" seating surface which supports your thighs on those longer runs. I switched over to the full Sundowner, and use the passenger seat area to put a roll bag on. Here is what a full sundowner looks on my dyna.
In the end, it's your comfort that matters, not what others think.

Well put. I agree and find that most on the HD forums put looks ahead of comfort, myself included. I got a new Lepera and found it drastically changed the whole look of the bike, but of course as far as comfort goes it is not there. It is fun to customize your pride and joy.
Here's my 1-piece sundowner. I'm going to replace it with a 2-piece Mustang with back rest. This seat is very comfortable though. Big improvement over the stock seat which looked better but was a big pain after 30 minutes.
The Sundowner Solo looks too big on the Dyna IMHO. Plus, I don't want to sit higher or farther back on the bike. The Brawler gets good reviews on this forum. I'm going give it a try.
