tank swap

this may seem rediculous, but i am wondering if a wide glide tank will fit standard dyna superglide. seems like it should, but i wanted to check. its crazy but i would really like to get my speedo off the handle bars and down on the tank and i noticed the wide glides have the speedo setup like a softail (i think the dyna lowride might too). does anyone know if this can be done? would a double wide tank like this look stupid on a narrow width front end? any other suggestions for getting the speedo out of the way (don't want to mount to eyebrow either)

I'm thinking that the LowRider setup might be easier to pull off. The FXDL has speedo and tach in the center of the tank. Wide Glide has a bunch of other stuff there like all the electronics, ala FXST.

thats intereting... have low riders always had the speedo on the tank or is a newer thing. for some reason i thought the lowrider tanks were stretched a little bit, but i guess that doen't mean it won't go on my superglide frame. mines a 98 btw.

The WG also has the ignition and harness on the tank and I know that the seat for both bikes are different also, the frame may be different, not sure of that.
