I've got both. It goes with my dirt bike riding. On long hauls it's nice to put my weight on the mids' to shift my hind end around or even stand up. Like I said, it goes back to the dirt bike riding where their seats are like 2x4's hard. I stand up on the mids when I'm hurting and out in the country, only going slow.
I may put my mid pegs back on just to have another place to rest my feet on long hauls. I'm extremely comfortable with the forward controls but it would be nice to have the option. *** gets sore, legs get stiff.
don't loose the mid pegs because if you ever have to jump, you can't jump from the forward control pegs. Also, so you have somewhere else to put your feet on long trips.
I've had my DWG a week and I thought the same thing on my first hour-long trip. Looking below, I see two rubber grommets on each side and I assume the peg mounts would go there. Anyone have an idea what those mounts would cost? I have my stock pegs sitting on a shelf.
