I already have the forwards on and I love them.

I'm a lanky build though. Me and those big alien machines in War of the Worlds bear an uncanny resemblance, so mids were just too cramped for me. I tried them for a few months and it was very uncomfortable especially on long rides.

I also like the visuals of the the legs way out in front with jeans flapping when I'm riding.

(snip)I cut about 2" off the stock pegs

I like that idea I'm fine with the mid controls but I need more ground clearance I'm constantly scraping pegs.Maybe I'll saw off an inch

I said this in a past post I have a pair of Actutronic foward controls w/the rear brake master cyl, I save about $150 on them couldn’t pass them up (reg $850 that was 6 years ago they are about the same today)

I’ve seen a lot of junk out there, steel instead of Billet, plus they have sealed roller bearings, rigid pegs you can get fold-ups but I really don’t like them, the straights will brake off (it’s in the bolt) don’t ask : - )

Anyway if money is an object then save a little more, I found any thing less than $400 isn’t worth it, all the name brands are pretty good, the brand I have and PM is other one, some sets I don’t like much is V-Twin and Kuryakyn I just think most of there stuff is way over rated just MO.

About your stretch, hay just ask some question (in person) those who have then, pay attention to those who ride w/ forwards notice how tall there are, damn if you were talking to me I would let you sit on the bike and try the length, I guess I am pretty tall but I don’t use extensions, no need for the model I have.

I just really like forwards

Got all of my pegs installed today. Guess I caught the service department in a good mood. They guy gave me the two peg bolts I was missing....he even gave me the spacers!

The problem I had installing the mounts was that I had 2 long bolts and 2 short bolts. I tried the two long ones on both sides but they were too long. Luckily I had a couple chrome spacers left over from when the dealer put on my saddlebags so I used them. They ended up looking better so I think I'll keep it that way.

HERE'S a close-up view of what it looks like and below is a picture of my bike with the new forward, mid, and passenger pegs.

The spacers work, that is really clean ! real nice ride.

If I could get my bike to look like that, I would put back my mids.

Thanks CJ,

I like how I can detach everything quickly to strip it down to a whole different bike. It even rides differently with everything on vs. off. Just got a brand new solo seat for $80 on eBay (delivered yesterday). I'm still waiting for the grommet I ordered from the dealer so I can mount it. I got the Detachable Seat Hardware Kit so I can switch the seats out when I want. Do you have a pic of your bike?

I like your system, everything I put on the bike is for a reason, long, short hauls but I like to shed it for local rides, got to take gear : - ) pegs either rubber or part rubber never did like ”O” rings and metal grips, they look great, rides like crap ! if you ever rode a shovel hard mounted you would understand : - )

Yeah, I shoot it up sometime, not tonight 4:30AM come too early.

later,

I think I found a mid-peg mount seller. For those who have done it, do these look like proper mounts for a Dyna? I'll ride over to get them to be sure but thought I'd ask before I make the trip.

Now just have to figure out what size bolts to use...
