IMHO, H-D would be money ahead if they would just install the "b" motor in all of the Big Twins, along with dual front brakes. They could add a little bit more to the MSRP (maybe $500), and everyone would be a lot happier.
The dealer said that they downloaded the TT manual and found that one of the bolts on the front TT was flush and it should have been out about 3/8 ''. Something about adjustment. Don't know.

Yes, that is the bolt I am talking about and it will definitely cause excess vibration if there is no gap or too small a gap.
CB
But can it work itself too loose? This wasn't a problem until my recent ride. I've had the TT for a year.
Usually that is what it does. It loosens up, unscrews its self to where there is no longer a gap, wedges itself between the two brackets and then transfers all the vibration to the chassis.

Thanks. I ordered a superbrace today since it looks like I'll have to do without the TT.

I don't want no stinkin b motor, just something else to go wrong, more moving parts and less hp no thanks.
The dealer won't replace the motor mounts with it on and I don't have the knowledge to replace it. It is nice, but it's not like a miracle device or anything. I'd rather have the free repair and a smooth ride again.
