A couple of weeks ago I posted a thread about the Harley 4" speedo/tach for street bobs being discontinued and that I found out about the one from Dakota Digital.
Well it was waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. It realy is plug and play. I had it installed in about 15 to 20 minutes. You unplug the stock one and plug in the new one.If you want to keep your mileage right you'll need to write it down before you do anything else.
It's got everything; a tach that can be displayed as a bar and numerical. A voltmeter a temperature gauge a shift light a gear indicator (and not just 6th gear). You can calibrate your speed if you change tire size or pullys plus differant performance options like 1/4 mile times and top speeds.
I got the blue display with the black bezel and it really looks good on a blacked out bike plus the blue matches my LED gas gauge. This has gone to the top of my mod list. If your looking for a tach I highly recomend this one.
Whew, I don't usualy talk this much. Here are a couple of pics.
Dakota has some fun features, the 0-60 timer is fun to play with. I haven't tried the 1/4 yet, but will soon. I have the 7000 series, not plug n play, but not difficult to wire up.
Looks awesome man! Would love to have a similar set up for my W.G. and my wifes S.B., but i dont see her letting me spend the around 1200 or so it would take to do that speedo and flush mount gas cap and gauges on both bikes!
