Leaking Intake Gaskets

I went to check my plugs, and found that one of the cylinders was lean and the other was perfect. I had had tuning done on my bike at 2,500 miles and it was perfect coming out and at 6,600 miles i expected it to still be fine. Needless to say, i went to the shop were i got it tuned and the guy shot a little carb cleaner at the induction module gasket going into the head and sure enough it had a leak. Rather then fight the dealer and leave my bike there for 2 weeks, i bought the gaskets for $10 and did it myself. It was a good excuse to finally pull it off and drill and tap the intake for a manifold vacuum fitting so that my Hypercharger would work correctly. Everything went fine, the bolts that hold the intake to the head are a nightmare to get to. I ended up using a t-10 torx bit put in backwards and turning it with a 1/4 inch wrench cause it's the only thing that would fit in there. It's all back together and runs perfect and the Hypercharger works as it's supposed to now.

Has anybody else had to replace thier intake gaskets at such a low milege, FYI all the bolts were tight when i removed it.

hi --next time buy a set of allen wrenches that have what look like a 'ball' on one end. these get be inserted at the perfect angle for easy removal of the intake manifold bolts.
