I need to get a tool for removing and installing wheel bearings, post links if you have them. Also after installing my wheels when my wife gets on I get this weird chirping sound when I coast but when I give her some throttle and it's pulling it don't make the sound, when I let off the throttle it makes it. I was told either the belt is to loose or to tight. Anyone here know what the heck is going on, oh yeah when I ride alone I don't get the noise at all!
No I'm not sure but it makes the noise when the brakes are applied also. If it were the brakes the noise would stop when the brakes are applied, wouldn't it?
Donnie
Edit: It soulds like it's coming from around the primary area.
Kind of a different thing, but similar concept..... I've had belts that squeecked like hell in my swamp cooler phrom a misalignment of the electric motor. Took me a phew belts before I realized it was way off, and how to correct it.
Check the edges of the belt to see if there is any unusal wear.
Well i think it's way worse then I thought, there's some black powder substance coming from inside the primary where the belt is.... looks to me like there's a bearing bad or something.... I'm done riding it till I find out what the hell is going on but it don't look or sound good!!
Jack up the back, put it in nuetral and spin the wheel. If you still can't find source of squeak (most likely belt) spray a little wd-40 on belt (underside and edges) (no it won't hurt anything). If squeaking stops, you know it is the belt.
