Does anyone know if the round all black air cleaner off the new Crossbones Softail will fit on a 2010 Wide Glide? I really like the look of that cleaner and think it would be a nice addition to my vivid black wide glide. Any information or tips is greatly appreciated.
I did it on my 07 Street Bob with no issues. Picked up a take-off Crossbones AC from a guy here at hdforums. You need the backing plate, the breather tubes, the round filter, and if memory serves the gasket that goes behind the filter. The gasket behind the backing plate is the same on both version IIRC.
The breather bolts are also different and I used the ones for the Crossbones but another guy here used the stock ones from his Dyna with no known problems so that's not clear.
I do wish it were a bit smaller - around 8 or 8.5 inch diameter as I recall. But I have reasons for not wanting to go with a "stage 1" so the options are limited.
