i have a 07 fxst and i hate the look of the football aircleaner .. do you think that i could put the round aircleaner off the crossbones on my fxst without any problems ??? im quessing that i could order it at the dealer ...
Your going to have to get the ENTIRE air filter setup, including the backing plate or it won't fit properly.
Take off your football cover and you'll be able to see what I'm talking about. The back part that fits to the throttle body is shaped to match the football. I checked one of the X-Bones at the dealer and if you look its obvious that the back plate is shaped to match the round cover.
Might as well get a Big Sucker or SE intake and get the stage 1 download.
I live in the Uk and the Cross Bones we have had delivered here have the big Black Oval air cleaner not the nice round one on the US version, anyone know why they have done this, dealer said it may be down to emissions laws, but they weren't to sure
