My hats off to you, I love the fender. Just curious what brand of paint you using? You just gonna delete the tail light or run a side mount maybe? Anyway looks sick, cant wait to see it finished.
I plan on running a side mount tail light. As far as the paint goes I'll have to get back to ya on that. The paints are in unmarked cans that my buddy got from his work so I don't know the exact name of them, manufacturer or codes. I just know that they are a Lacquer.
I'm diggin the red/silver. A really nice combo of colors. An accent pinstripe between the red and silver would work but not sure what that color would be. Maybe black just to break it up?
Either way, you've got a fine custom mod going on. Congrats, Ghost.
Thank's everyone. It's a nice feeling knowing I have less than a couple hundred bucks in a halfway decent paint job. At least I will not walk out of the beer joint and have to look for my bike in a sea of other black bikes.
SC-Longhair, that's the problem I am having is trying to decide what color pinstripe to lay down. I probably will not think about it to long and just leave it alone. I could always go over the clear with a pinstripe and then another coat of clear if I later decide to pinstripe it.
Man, I'm really liking that. I do agree that it needs a pinstripe, maybe a slight variation of the red color to keep it subtle, or an off white / cream type of color would look nice. I don't think black would look too hot. JMO.
P.S. Your avatar is a huge distraction, it takes up way too much of my time and attention.
Well, after a very thorough search I can not seem to find my old pinstriping brushes. Instead of spending any more money than I have to I have decided to use pinstripe tape. I will use either 1/16" or 3/32". I think a bright white will look good, I guess. I will have to lay down a few stripes to see what it looks like. Another plus is that clear can be laid over the tape.
