Just keep in mind. If you decide to go with an aftermarket fender or if you make your own it needs to be about 8.25" wide. The measurement between struts is 8.5" on the inside. Not thinking I made my fender exactly 8.5" and had to spread the struts just a tad to get the fender to fit without scratching the paint.

Hi guys pretty new to the forum but have a question about stretching my heritage softail front and rear fenders. What kind of reinforcing must I do once cut,welded and smoothed. Any help would be appreciated.
