Question New Combination Digital Speedometer/Analog Tachometer

I noticed that there is now a Combination Digital Speedometer/Analog Tachometer 74723-10 available for '09 and later bikes with a 5" speedometer. Can anyone tell me why this would not work on my '07 Wide Glide? Wonder if it is due to different wiring?

i would assume the wiring being different, not to mention the wiring for the RPM/ tach guage..

you see all i have on mine is a speedometer, i havent the slightest idea where to connect the Tach if i were to purchase this piece..

just pulled the PDF file, here its attached.... i dont see any mention on routing the wires...me thinks its as imple plug and play

interesting....they say to record your odometer reading... they dont say why..

and they dont tell you how to correct the odometer reading in the event it doesnt match up after installing the new gauges.

When you purchase the gauge the dealer will put on the miles that is on your current gauge on the new one.

ughh so if i do this at home, i gotta go to the Moco and have them initialize/ calibrate the odometer... and spend a 100 dollars just for that????cause you know theyre gonna ask for an hours worth of labor on this alone.

I dont see any upside to this Item..

For 500 though?? I mean wow HD really has a set of *****.

Well you can do what ever the _ _ _ _ you want... spend your money on what you want and I will spend mine how I like.

BTW... It is not $500.... It is $299... Unless you are totally incompetent and need to pay someone to install it for you.

This was an easy post to find out if someone knows why this would not work on an '07... and now it is discussing squirrels...

Hey airborne, I was merely making light of a Moco injustice, I understand Airborne Rangers/ Paratroopers have a certain swagger, but all that rudeness coming from you isn't, and wasn't called for. Its apparent we're discussing 2 completely different Guages, but obviously you're in some sorta Mood.
In all the posts and threads, I've joked on, your the first one to outright lash out on..
