Default Speedo Stuck?

I am new to HDForums and Harley Davidson all together. I have been riding around 5 years, but just bought an HD......great decision! I got a 2002 FXDWG and all was fine until a few minutes ago I went out for a ride, turned on the ignition and noticed the speedo was stuck on 40mph. Also, the turn signals don't work, no horn and my odometer is off. I checked the fuse and they are all good.... I am at a loss. I may not be posting this in the correct forum, but I looked under maintenance and nothing was there that is helpful. I thought this might be a Dyna-specific problem. Thanks, in advance for any advice.

All those connectors are right under the gas tank and accessable by removing a plastic cover/more accesible by lifting the tank a bit, front bolt only. Id check the connector first for crud n corrosion. might be an easy fix

Bet your brake light doesn't work either. Use a volt meter or test light to see if there is power at the accessory fuse with the ignition switch on
If there is power on both sides then the orange/white wire is open.
If there is power on only one side the fuse is bad
If there is no power at all then either the red/gray wire is open or the ignition switch is bad.

Shadylane- The bike will run and drive. Does that matter to your thoughts? Thanks for your input.

Looked at the wire diagram for your 02 fxdwg. Since the bike runs the problem is in the accesory circuit. Start at the acc fuse. Is there power to it?

Thanks everyone for your help. I couldn't find anything wrong, so I bit the bullet and took it to Alamo City HD to be properly diagnosed. Hopefully things will go well. They tried to sell me a 25,000 mile full synthetic package with full fluid change and checking/adjusting all belts and chains for $455.00....seems a little steep, but like I said this is my first Harley.

Shadylane- it seems all the fuses had in/out power.

Default What did the HD shop find the issue to be?
