Default Thundermax o2 sensors & ?'

Well on top of the fact that I cant get my bike running until probably late this week due to the cord that came with my THUNDERMAX was incorrect and will not plug into my computer, I am having a problem with the routing of the O2 sensors. Seems like I cant find a good way to route the wires so it doesnt look like crap...SO if anyone has any pictures or can give me a detailed explanation how they did it, it would be much appreciated. I also would like to know if you plug the diagnostic port cable on the TMAX into that 4 prong plug in that is on the electrical caddy by the fuses or into the one that is back by the rear fender? Apparently the instructions I got werent very informative...

Bump... The diagnostic port cable isnt the one that you stick the cable to the pc into but there is another wire like the O2 sensor style wire but its a big 4 prong pin that needs to be plugged in somewhere... does that go into the plug by the electrical caddy and fuse block? or back by the fender...

Try looking up the installation instructions in the tuning manual. It's in the Help section of the software. It may give more detail. You can just view it, or better yet, print it out and get familiar with the manual. Yeah, it's about 200 pages but it it's good to have handy.

I ran my front o2 sensor up underneath the gas tank , along the spine (frame) . I had it running down from the ECM to the bottom of the frame to the front cylinder . Looked like **** , and eventually allowed the sensor plug to gather water and caused it to go bad . I'd suggest , if you have the slightest mechanical ability ....remove the tank and run the wire along the upper frame . Looks WAAAAAY better , and it's a safer route too . I can't comment on the other plug , maybe you can post a pic ???? Also , I just had to replace the rear o2 sensor today . Don't know why . I found that Advance auto sells them for way less than Zippers !

when you look on the TMAX ecm itself there are the 2 02 sensor wires coming out of one side... one says front... one says rear... on the other side the single wire says diagnostic port... and its a clip that has 4 prongs i believe... i dont know what to connect that plugin into... I THINK the picture says to connect it into a plugin that is by the fuse pannel but I want to make sure...

Here is a link to the Tmax install instructions if you look on the bottom of page 3 you will see a pic of a Dyna with the Tmax installed in the circle is where your (4 prong plug from the Tmax) plug goes, it plugs into the data link cord it is cliped to the electrical chassie it is grey and has a black rubber cover pushed into it. This is the cord the dealer plugs into to access the bikes computer (ECM)... Zippers also sells a Ycord so that connection port is still accessable if need be..... Hope this helps....

My FXD was a snap to install. The instructions were as clear as anyone could hope for complete with photos.
