Air Cleaner Cover
Anyways, I'll probably end up buying a plain wrinkle black cover but thought I'd ask you guys about it first.
Thanks for the help.
I just did the same. If you look at my posts you will see a pic from ShockaveTXB were he did an amazing job of it. He might be able to tell us all the best method. Mine was not as good.
I used a heat gun and fingers to pull off the insert. Go slow or you will bend it. Then I took a drimel and cutting wheels (12 of them) and cut the chrome dome just under the size of the outside edge of the insert. Stick the insert back on and done. The insert is actually a little smaller than the SE S1 filter. I addressed with with the water sock. I live in FL so I need the sock anyway.
Good luck

if you are talking about an aircleaner like this i done this one myself and mounted it on an arlen ness big sucker. i layed the stock football on a flat surface and poored some goo gone on it and let it sit like 15 min. then i took a razor and ran under the circular badge that says 96 ci SB, careful when doing this cause you could nic or bend the badge it should peel off nice and easy. after you have it off take a dremel with cutting wheel and cut out the circle under where the badge mounts so that no edge will protrude past the badge once it is glued back on. after its cut lay the badge on the chrome circle and verify that it is good and no chrome sticks out past the edge of the badge. once it is good clean the back side of the badge and the front side of the chrome really well and get it glue and goo gone free. once surface it clean get a good silicone adhesive and lay a nice bead of the silicone adgesive in the center of the back side of the badge and then place it on the chrome circle and lay a book or something with a little weight to it to give the adhesive a little pressure. once it dries bolt it on and ride.
