Are the baffles in the SE mufflers removable? I know they are in some mufflers but SE is Harley-Davidson and they might have the EPA to deal with.

And even in the ones where they ARE removable, they're removable so you can replace them, not so you can run without them.

not sure. I know there is a screw hold mine in on my V&H side shots.
But im sure running without them is fine if the person is happy with the performance. Mine are still in....for now LOL

Mine is plenty loud. No one rides on my right side and the baffles are still in.

Cant imagine the sound with them out, although Id love to hear it

Yes, the SE slip on's have removable baffles. as far as why remove them...I removed mine, then put them back in ,then removed them, then...well you get the picture. I done it just to change up the sound for a while. I had the SE slip on's and the OEM slips, it was easier to remove a bolt then it was to chane the pipes everytime.

If your not wanting to upgrade the full exhaust I would go for 1 of the many aftermarket slip-ons. You'll get louder and most likely not need to retune. What has been done with the breather will have you covered as long as everthing is fitted without leaks.
My V&H slip-ons were plenty loud.
