Airfoil pegs
They have three different sizes, IIRC. The big ones really are BIG. I'm using the medium size as rider pegs and on the highway pegs. On the passenger pegs I'm using the small Kury Iso's.
They look good but they kinda make me think the bike wants to take flight. Not completely sold on them yet. Maybe it will just take time. Maybe I'll have to switch them out ($$), which is annoying.
I saw this thread. Funny, I was just thinking about them and my 'plan' for the looks of the bike. Right now, I'm okay with them. If I decide to go with a solo seat, remove the sissy bar, tuck the turn signals in or relocate them, (PITA, not sure on that one) put a more contoured laydown license plate bracket on (don't want to relocate that either, another major PITA) and put a laydown tailight on, then I might have to do something with the pegs.
But for now, they're okay. The Airfoils, I mean.
I tried to go for versatility, so I put the Heel Raisers on it. Although the idea is great, I found the execution to be just too far off the mark. The Heel Raisers would easily move from closed to open position, but the would also move WAY to easily while open. Regardless how far down it was tensioned, every time I needed some stability out of my feet, my heels kept moving the heel peg portion around. They never actually lock into place to make me feel secure.
So, next best thing, I swapped them out for the Airfoils. I went with the oversize extra large to accommodate my size 13 boots. I feel quite secure with them in place and I don't feel like my feet are going to slide off the pegs at 75mph. Bottom line - I'd buy them again.
