Default Highway Peg comfort vs look

It would be nice to have a set of highway pegs on my FLHR but I'm not sure I like the looks of them. I saw a pair that folds out of the floorboards but requires some modification to the floorboards and they look to reduce your lean angel too.

I think the idea location would be where you can rest your heal on the floorboards and toes on the pegs and switch to your complete foot on the pegs. If the pegs were to fold up tight to the crash bar this may be ok but rarely do I see any that fold up that close to the bar.

Any one else that wants highway pegs but not the look? Ideas? Photos?

I dont have a problem with the way they look, the first time you kick your feet up on a long ride the last thing you'll ever think about is how they look.

Form and function don't always go hand and hand. That being said, Baggers with highway pegs look natural to me.

Take a look at http://www.jpcycles.com/product/690-066 or http://www.lindbycustom.com/cart/pro...cat=252&page=1 or something similar that hides the highway pegs when not in use

That's how I have my pegs positioned. Works great!

They look fine to me. I have my pegs on the 360 adjustable mounts mounted on the crashbar. I have them set so the the mount curves slightly toward the floorboard, which to me was the most comfortable. They don't fold up tight to the crashbar because they're not perpendicular to the crashbar.

Once you use them, you don't look at them. I got the shorter arm adjustable ones from HD and love them. You can move them probably too many ways between sliding them up down, twisting them and adjust the arm. Took me awhile to get them set equally. Rode 300 miles the other day and would not be with out them.

Good luck.

HD Long Angle or Kuryakyn Tour Tech if you want to save a few bucks for the same thing. Positions are: 1) Floorboard, 2) Heel on board toes on peg, 3) Foot on peg, 4) heels resting on peg.

I have them, love them, and was the first thing I added when I got my new bike this year. Never thougth about what they look like. I don't even fold them up. I think once you get them, you won't worry about the look.

There's always that crash bar with the pegs made into the top of them but they're not adjustable. Can't remember the brand name. They don't look bad IMO

Absolutely love mine. I have the long angeled adjustable set. Once you've used them, you'll wonder what took you so long to install them.
