I know there are numerous threads regarding fuel packs. I've read thru them but being a novice I just can't figure whats best here.
I have an 07 FXDC that I bought recently. It came with a full V-H Pro Pipe BP. The AC is stock. I think it is best to add a fuel pack. If I go with V-H fuel pack should I add a high flow AC at the same time? What AC would you guys suggest? I don't see me having any engine upgrades done.
Another thing is I am thinking of changing the bars. I have a bad right paw and am having some problems with the stock bars. I like the look of the Streetslammers. What length riser is needed to clear the tank and instrument cover? I'd prefer to not have to change the cables but will to get the right clearance.
TIA.
I would get the intake since that will get you a bigger increase than the exhaust. The fuel pak will just add fuel in the open loop which is already rich (13.9 - 12.5 AFR). You will need to do a XiED to take care of the 14.6 closed loop AFR to compliment the fuel pak. Screamin Eagle race fueler can be found as low as $50 new from SRP of $229 on ebay. Xied are $100. This is an inexpensive solution that works.
If you don't plan on doing any motor work down the line, the fuel pak will do the job. To get the full benefit out of the fuel pak & pipe, do the a/c at the same time. If your looking to go to street slammers, the stock cables will work, but if you decide to go aftermarket cables, stock length is all you need.
