I think that the 49mm forks would look good, but something to keep in mind is that they are still relatively new, so there isn't an abundance of those type of parts flooding the used market. If you decide to go with the 41mm you'll be able to find significantly more parts for alot cheaper. I know that you cant gain as much performance, but do you think theres a significant difference for the average rider?

That said, modification will have to be done (i) to the fatboy lower triple tree (widening the turn stops for the FXDWG frame) ... and (ii) clearance the FXDWG fork stop (can be done by either cutting it down or clearancing the FLSTF headlight mounting casting on the lower triple tree) ... the usual stuff to get a Softail front end on a Dyna frame ....
