Damn.... I was worried about that. Every time people talk up a DOT helmet and I try one out I'm always disappointed because it sits up so high. I was hoping this was going to be different cuz I like the looks of this 500, but I guess not. The only one I've found that sits lowest on my head is my damn Vintage Shoei.

Me too. Vintage Buco lowest on me, Fulmer IMO is the lowest profile current DOT, but still a bit high as compared wit6h Vintage DOT or Biltwell.

Sorry you're not happy with the helmet, the finish on my helmet was flawless.

I got a Custom 500 a few months ago, It fits great albeit a little big and domey, but it's DOT so what else would you expect? It's much more comfortable than my cheap DOT half helmet actually.

Anybody else see the new HD 3/4 helmets? They're made by AGV and in similar orange and grey/silver metallics. Should have tried one on just for ***** and giggles when I was at the stealer.

I got mine on Wednesday night and sent it back Thursday morning...seems my dome is far larger than an XL.

I got an Z1R Jimmy helmet from J & P because it was advertised as low profile. Got it yesterday and sent it back today as it was not very comfortable and sat way high on my head. I felt and looked like I was 7 feet tall and had the classic alien head. Perhaps some heads just don't fit a helmet without this look. I really want a 500 but hate buying-sending back-buying-sending back. Not sure what to do at this point. Maybe I should just suck it up and live with the mushroom head. Geeeezzzz!!!!

My 500 dosn't seen to sit high on my head, it is hard to get on and off over my ears but it fits fine. Guys and Gals no one is looking at you while your riding get over it. They look at the machines.

OK, was driving by the Honda dealer today and thought - maybe they have a helmet I'll like. Found this Fulmer 3/4 in gold metalflake. Left with it. Only a small alien head. Rode 160 miles with it this afternoon and it was very comfortable and reduced the wind noise by 50% over my HCI half helmet.

My Fulmer V2 in matte black came in from eBay a few days ago. Fits wonderful, quiet while on the bike, and looks pretty good. I paid $62 + shipping. Not bad for a DOT in the style and color I wanted. Brand new was $100.

Sporting my HD goggles too.
