A couple of the guys have done this. 16over is one, you may want to PM him. I have the 14" but still had to do some drilling & dremeling. You may have to add length to your wiring harness to do it the internal way. Good luck! You're going to love them. And don't forget to change your riser bushings to the poly ones.
SDMF, this may be a dumb question but what and why??
The Gimp Hangers are solid bars and are not dimpled for the wiring harness like the stock bars. So, it doesn't matter if you decide to run the wires internal or external you'll still have some modifications to do to them.
I am still not sure what you are meening by replacing the riser bushings to poly ones.My gimps are predrilled for the wires and ive already put them on once and they felt fine.
Normally, the Gimps do not come predrilled from Nash. I was unaware that you had them drill the bars for you or they now sell predrilled. As far as the riser bushings go...the stock rubber bushing will cause the bars to feel very mushy because of the extra hieght. Polyurathane bushings are more solid and will give a better feel during accel/decel. Especially if you slow quickly. They're about $30 weather you get them thru the MoCo or aftermarket (i.e., jpcycles) Have you rode with them on yet?
Cool thanks phreak i will probably take you up on that when i do it.
SDMF thanks for the clarification i will get on getting those orderd up. I havnt got them on yey i am still waiting for my cables to show up. Thanks for the help thus far. These things are going to look sick when there all done, i cant wait to get it all done.
