Plan to do braided cables soon and thinking of switching out the factory switches and housings for something that looks a little better. Anyone recommend any that look and work good but don't cost a fortune.
I used Custom Chrome or CCI brand chrome control kit with switch housings and they are SWEET. They fit properly, DONT leak like HD lids do, and the chrome is beautiful. I had rider reports of over 40k hard miles and no chrome issues before I bought mine. I have 10k miles on mine and they are a joy every time I ride. I picked them up for $155.00 from my local dealership. They are also available through Eastern PC as well I believe. They mimic stockers in every way except the lid gasket design so just transplant switches and and you are good to go.
I really like my Ness RAD IIIs!!! Only paid like $220 or $240 off fleaBay too.
Before I bought my PM Contours I thought about those, they looked good online, then I visited the Ness shop in CA, sorry, but I thought they were FUGLY and cheap looking.
Search ebay, I just sold a set I bought on there, finally decided to spend the money on what I really wanted instead of settling.

The PM's are very well made, have had an issue with the switches they use and in the middle of working that out with PM. The hi-beam switch went out on the way down to the Dragon last week. They have a 1 year warranty and say they will replace.
I like having the threaded throttle cable so it is solid and not wobbling around like the stock units.
Do some serious shopping for price online, I got the whole setup for less than 1100 shipped to me, as opposed to the 1500 listed on their site.
man i redo the control housings all the time! i color matched mine to my black cherry paint, have another set in platnim, and antoher set in gloss black, if your looking for a change that is the cheapest and easiset way to go
I do have to say though... i really dig the set up that 8541hog has

Ya I have a extra set I bought to have powdered gloss black but have never got around to doing it. If I dont find something I like, I will be hitting you up for some powder work.

Hmmm... well made but having problems with the switches...hi-beam went out too... and you paid how much??? I got it...they're PMs and all but even at the "steal" of $1100 I'll take my Ness controls for $250 that I have never had a problem with. I think they look pretty sharp, definitely much better than the stockers. I guess it is all about the look you're trying for tho.
