I used to spend summers in Lake Lure when I was a kid. My Grandparents would take me to Maggie Valley. That whole area would be a lot of fun to ride, I haven't had the chance do that yet.

Ok but like I said you should relax you'll feel better.
He didn't ask for a trophy, try and wear an IBA patch or anything like that. He simply made a joke about being an Iron Half ***.

Do you have any idea how many people lack a sense of humor and try to make a mountain out of a mole hill?

Yes, check out the Airhawk.

I have one and on my recent trip to the Dragon it was so worth every penny.
I used it on my solo seat and what was a 200 mile seat went over 1500 that weekend in comfort.

Averaging over 60mph for 8 hrs, in the dark, didn't leave you much time for sight-seeing. That's a pretty grueling ride. I like to get off the bike at least every hour or so. The seat discomfort is what limits my saddle time, and is cumulative, needing longer and longer rest stops. Had the Mean City Cycles mod done on a solo seat for my FXDC; should have it any day. Not that I have any desire to set records, at 66. I'll leave that for the young guys. My recent challenges are more along the lines of: How can I mount hard bags on my Dyna? & How many nights can I cadge a place to sleep on the ground so my trip/cash lasts longer?

No Iron butt here. But I went in April (650 m.) and I'm going back in Sept to the WTT in Maggie Valley. Did Dragon last time and will do the parkway this time. Great area!

We had 22 shovels there that day.
