Muffler Mod...
I used the 1 3/4" exhaust pipe spacer, cut it off flush with the inlet end of the baffle, then seated it with a rubber mallet in the muffler can. Something odd, in that the baffle went into the bottom (front) muffler about 3/4 inch or so farther than the other. The back muffler I was able to secure the baffle using the existing rivet holes. Unfortunately, I had to drill a hole in the front muffler...about a half-inch farther in enough to catch the outside edge of the baffle. I only used one bolt on the front, and it's on the bottom and pretty much outta' sight. It'll work until Santa brings the new pipes.
Sound is good, not obnoxiously loud. Just a nice mellow rumble to alert tha cage drivers next to me in traffic...which was my main concern (and that feeling of comfort for mama when she hears me comin' down the road).
Not a bad job to undertake...took about three hours by the time I cleaned up my mess and took her out for a test run (I'd say a two beer job)...right about bedtime for the neighborhood!
Got a little carbon staining on the underneath of my back muffler...never noticed that before. Don't know what that ****'s about...
Sorry, no sound clip capability.
