Does anyone know if the macadam m50 are being discontinued since the new scorcher 31 tires are out. Jakewilson.com and Americanmototire.com bot have the macadam m50 on sale dirt cheap. I just ordered 3 Michelin macadam m50 tires (size 160/70-17) from jakewilson.com with a $20 off coupon code and free shipping for $174. Thats like $58 each. Got one for my bike and one for my brothers bike and an extra for the hell of it. Just curious if anyone knows why the drastic price drop? I checked other online sources and these are the only 2 places that have these tires reduced.
I would check the date codes on those tires and depending on how fast you go through tires, that third one really should not sit around for too long. Please post the dates, this jake wilson place sells cheap so are they selling old tires? It may also be good, as they turn over a lot of stock and they are fresh tires? Just curious.
Try E-mailing Michelin and asking them if they are discontinuing that tire. http://www.michelinmotorcycle.com/in...ent=contact.us

American Motorcycle tire had it for the same price... I thought it must be discontinued and their dumping the inventory... I almost bought one then changed my mind because after searching here I couldn't find many reviews on it... I wound up buying a Avon Storm ST2, which I'll have mounted over the winter..

UPS delivered mine today...fast service, since I ordered Sunday and it was a holiday week. I'll check the D.O.T. date codes and add them to this post tomorrow...oops! looks like it just turned "tomorrow"...later today.
Update: Both of the Mac-50's I received are date coded Mar. '07...not exactly "fresh", but should be fine.
