Dealer has one '10 FXDB left at a good price. When I sat on it I had to reach just a little for the grips. Would it be pretty expensive to change out the top triple tree and be able to put on different risers? just weighing cost here.
I don't know if you could adjust the angle of the bars by pulling them down a bit? I mean I know they are adjustable but would it look ok? seems like the turn signals would be pointed upward.
They won't point to the sky, when you rotate the bars back towards you as you sit in the saddle, you'll also have to rotate the hand grips and lever down, which will rotate the turn signals down to their proper alignment.....
For my '06 Street Bob, I bent the bars back but it was not enough. So I bought a set of HD pullback risers AND kept the bars angled back. I had to have a longer brake line put on but the other cables were OK. Works for me, but frankly it does not look very good.
I'm considering a different set of bars that will do the same thing but might look better. Not sure if they will be Buckhorns or what. That's going to be a winter project.

Dumb me I didn't know the grips could be rotated. I thought they aligned up with a detent hole of some kind. Heck this is great news then I might just be able to get this one. Thanks
i've adjusted mine fore and aft a few times, seems just a small change can really affect how they feel after a few hours of saddle time. Its very easy, just the 4 bolts to loosen
I haven't had to rotate the grips though, i've only moved them about 3/4" forward (of where they align with the rake of the forks) and about the same back, but found that for me aligned with the rake of the fork is the most comfortable
