I used to paint my old Ironhead Sporty with some small model brushes and a case of beer. Just get it real clean with good degreaser and alcohol or what ever you can. Get a good quality high heat paint in a pint not aerosol. Grab a multi-pack of model hobby paint brushes with different head sizes and get to work. I found that I didn't have to mask off anything and the small brushes get behind and underneath everything. Then after drying time between coats go for the bake on by starting the engine and riding. I never had a problem and anyone who looked at it thought I rebuilt the engine.

called dealer about void of warranty
After the comments on the thread, I called back to my dealer. I asked for them to provide where paint would void the warranty. They, of course, could not provide it. They backed off their original statement when I asked how to contact Harley factory directly. Instead, they tried to tell me that it should be done by them for a special price of $2,500. I said "No Way".
Gonna do it myself for less than $50. Should I use aerosol or brush paint? I have read different options. I want it to look "from factory" as possible.
