Default Lowering 2010 Wide Glide

I am looking to lower my 2010 wide glide with shorter shock probably 11''. In the pursuit to get these shocks I came to stop sign when I was told I would have to cut my rear fender for it would hit either the swingarm or belt guard not sure where. Anyone done this and had to cut fender? let me know sorry if this is like a new post I'm new here

With the shocks or lowering block? Have you heard anything about cutting the fender going the shock route?

I've got the progressive 412's with no cutting or modification to make work.

I was talking about the shocks. I have read through alot of posts from people running the burly setup and no one said anything about cutting.

I have the 1" lowering block on mine with the factory shocks set to the firmest setting and I bottom out on the brake bleeder valve on top of the rear caliper. It's put a decent dent in my rear fender. I just noticed it and have remove my lowering blocks until I can remove the fender and make a clearance cut. So be aware you may bottom out....

I may just try to lower the fender and leave it factory height so I don't drag my pegs so much. I ride in the mountains a lot and have ate through my zombie pegs bad. It's almost into my boot.

I checked with Burly, they only make a 10.5" and they will not fit without trimming. I just installed the Progressive 412 11" I have a strong inch between my belt guard & fender with my shock set in the softest setting. I wanted to go lower but cant see trimming my fender.

That's I have been told bottoming out would cause the fender to hit, and me being a bigger guy at 235, I see this as a problem. I guess I'll talk to a body shop and see if they can make a clean cut without chipping paint and touch up the cut. Thanks everyone for your info
