i installed V&H Big Radius and a PCV then downloaded a map. i have no other (performance) modifications. She just turned over 3k miles. My question is have i hurt the motor? i have been reading that it most likely needs dyno tuned or an auto tune from power commander. i have pulled the plugs out, it looks like she is running good, not white, not black, kinda brownish. but im thinking she is running hot. any info would be greatly appreciated. ive searched on here but found nothing. if there are threads out there please let me know! thanks in advance!!!
I have a PCV, stage 1 A/C and Samson Shorty's on mine and I've put 5k on it with no dyno and no issues whatsoever. I've also checked my plugs and they don't look overly discolored, I'd say if it's running good then I wouldn't worry about it.

You either know it is running too hot or you know it isn't.
Your best bet is to take it to a dyno and let them do some runs. Usually pretty reasonable for a small handful of runs. Maybe check the AFR, etc.
Maybe, I doubt it if you have been running decent quality gas and have the right download. The PCV is a open loop system, so it may be a problem if you happen to get a tank of fuel with a lot of ethanol in it, or one with no ethanol.... A dyno tune is not going to help you, its still open loop, although the tuner could set the bike up to have a bit more margin at the expense of fuel mileage. For the ECU to adapt to variation in fuel quality, you need a closed loop system, one with working O2 sensors.
well i only use sunoco gas. we have a bunch round these parts. i posted this cause i want to be informed, not feel retarded. im very mechanically inclined when it comes to efi i dont know a whole lot, but eager to learn. "have i hurt the motor" is a legitimate question. it has o2 sensors from the factory. i did not do the eliminator kit. is there a way to make it closed loop?

There really is no need for a tuner with just an exhaust upgrade. If your plugs are brownish, the color of cardboard then you are good. If they were white or if they had little sparkly flakes on them then that would not be good.
