Local HD dealership had a garage sale/swap meet today & had ultra discounts. Got a brand new bobtail fender for 06-up dynas.

is there any bracket other than HD's stupid $250 kit that's wide enough or rather has anyone made one of the 15 million generic 7" ebay taillight mounts work?

The new fender is exactly 8" wide at the mounting holes. all the brackets on ebay are nice and less than $50 but only 7"wide. I would also like to re-use my taillight too if possible. (black LED lay down style).
