Default Wheel fitment?

I have an 03 super glide.. I am going to swap out the front end to a wide glide 41mm.. with zero rake..trees.. I plan on putting a 21 x 3.00 or wider on the front.. I also would like to put a wider tire on the back.. As of now it is a 16 x 3.. with a 150/80/16.. I would like to run a 160.. my understanding is that I have to have a 3.50 min.. for this tire.. Will a 16x3.50 fit on the scoot with no mods to the belt or pulley? I have hear of some running a 17 or an 18x4.25.. did any mods have to be done to run these wheel on the rear..? I ride two up alot so I dont want to lose to much travel as I would like to drop the rear an inch.. Please all I need help with this.. and thank you for your time.

I put an 06 streetbob wheel and tyre 17 x4.5 rim 160 tyre on my brothers 05 fxdx. All I changed was to put 3/4 bearings in the wheel and tidy up turn sig wiring. Looks great

Oh and he is running 12" progressive and does a lot of two up. The rim is taller but tyre is lower profile. So overall about the same

I run a 18X5.5 with 180 rear tire on my 2007 FXD. Also agree that a 12 inch shock should be good for two-up riding. I have 11's on mine and she is slammed. (https://www.hdforums.com/forum/membe...t4-medium.html)

I run a Metzeler160/70/17 on a 17X4.50deuce rear wheel on my 05 that is the same set up as the 03. Every thing fit right on! I also run 12" Progressive shocks.I plan to go to a 170/60/17 next year.(Hope it fits)
