Default St. Bob Burly Slammer

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to install the burly slammer kit on my street bob... I was wondering if anyone can give a little more detail on what the heck to do for the 2'' drop springs? Idk if I'm reading the instructions weird or what, but I'm assuming that the longest spring goes in first, then the 2( or 1??) really short springs, then the PVC or w.e... Do I need to cut the pvc? Also, What size is the nut on the top of the forks?

Bet it kinda hurts when you ask for advice and some other guy posts a video of not only showing you how to install it, but a gorgeous woman doing the install lol

it doesn't hurt when the sportster kit is completely different. the "helper" springs are one piece. i have 2 short pieces per fork. and the instructions say all this crap about taking the forks out of the trees, draining the oil, removing the damper rod and rebound spring, then leaving the stock top out spring and putting 2 burly top out springs on the damper rod. first off, where the heck is the stock top out spring?? and how does installing TWO springs provide 2 inch drop and 1 spring provides one inch.

so thats what im having the problem with,

the instructions show like this

stock top out spring

burly lowering kit

top out spring.

I see NO other springs in the forks other than the stock long spring. makes no sense

Burly's website shows the video I attached as the same for most Dynas and Sportsters; I was just trying to help dude. Everything I've read seems to indicate the installation is as easy as the video describes.

Do a search...lots of info on the subject.

my response was to the other guy, but i was kidding anyways . sorry, the internet SUCKS for sarcasm.

anyways I finally got it,

here's what the dyna install entails:

you have to remove the front tire, and caliper, front fender.
loosen the 12mm allen bolt in the bottom of the fork tubes (possibly easier with the fender still on).
remove handlebars, (i liked how i had mine set, so i just unbolted the risers)
loosen the top triple tree bolt
loosen the fork nuts on top, if you have, go ahead and remove with obviously being careful from the preload.
remove the forks from the trees,

drain out the fork oil and shake out the spacer and spring.

compress the fork and do not uncompress until you install the burly springs,

remove the 12mm allen and shake out the damp
er rod and spring, put the 1 or 2 (depending on how much drop you want) around the damper rod and under that stock spring, put it back in the tube and get the allen bolt started, put the forks back in, tighten the allen, put the burly springs in (compress side up top), refill oil, then the washer, then the pvc, cut the PVC as needed... unfortunately i think i cut mine too short haha

Wow. That sounds a lot more complex than the video leads you to believe. Thanks for sharing what it actually takes.
