I'd like to install a set of extra pegs on the mid frame mounts. Maybe a set from a StreetBob. If I use them enough I'll change to mid controls as well and just leave the forward pegs on.
The only issue I can tell would be the collector on the 2/2 exhaust. The bottom of the collector is flush with the peg bracket mounting holes on the frame, there is an inch + of left to right clearance between the mounting block and collector.
The forward controls from a WG look like they would fit easily on a SB, but the WG lacks the hole in the case for the shift rod, and the exhaust on the WG is covering a lot of space where the peg would go.
If anyone knows or has already done this, please let me know what will work. I'm getting a little itchy.
You will need a new or used inner and outer primary case with the through hole. The Tommy gun collector should clear the mid controls. Fat Bobs came with a mid control option until 2010 and they use the same Tommy gun collector.
I ran across this thread and have some questions. I would also like to install a set of mid pegs on my 2010 Wide Glide but I want to leave the controls forward.
Is this answer about changing the inner and outer primary case making reference to adding the pegs only? I also don't have the stock Tommy Guns on my bike now either. I changed to Python staggered duals.
