Ah ... yeah ... you can see where the front right side of the tank got bashed in by the fork when the stop sheared off the triple tree ....
Can see a little of the damage to the top triple tree and fork tube, but still kind of hard to tell the forks are twisted from the photos ....
Pretty good looking Evo Low Rider ... really, you might be able to get a decent Evo motor for around $2,500 ... so even though you will have to drop a little coin to get that bad boy up and running ... it is a screamin' deal ....
Keep us posted ....

Oh, It runs! I just got done tweaking the carb a little. I have to get some fresh gas and play around with it again. It runs pretty good. I might pull the heads and see what the jugs look like. I might have the heads cleaned up a little and throw in new seals. It has 150ccp and according to Big Boyz calculator, it should have about 157 stock so not too bad.
It did sit for around a year they said. But the key tag had what looked like a case number on it which was 10- so I am guessing it has been sitting since early this year.
Even with bent forks, it rides pretty damn nice! Had it up to 45mph and all was good!

Got the Wide Glide front end all fit up today. Picked it up for $350. Already had the 21" spoke wheel laying around. Just need a front fender, tire, lowering kit and the front end is complete!
The blue tape was to get an idea of how it would look with blue tins.

Nice score! Only thing I'm thinking is its a Super Glide, not a Low Rider. Low Riders have black engines, dual front disc brakes (Evo's anyway) and a tach is on the gas tank under the speedo. No real difference, just a different model.

Wow, helluva helluva deal! I'm seriously jealous and happy for you at the same time. I'v always thought about going to police auctions to see what I could find...didn't realize they posted that kind of stuff on ebay. Can't wait to see what you do to it!

I was actually questioning it myself. I was told by a local indy bike shop that the low riders were available in a couple "levels" but that sounds kinda funny to me. It did have the lowrider headlight hood, not sure if the super glides had that.
Had a busy day/night. Spent about 6 hours on it today.
Tank off, ready to start pulling the harness. Have to pull out all the wiring since we are going to powder coat the frame.
Using Joe's Knapps tags, I tagged every connection when I took it apart.
Starter removed
No wires!!
Time to start on the engine. It has 11k miles on it, but it was puffing a small amount of black smoke. Pulled it apart to find out why. Nothing more embarrissing than riding a clean restored bike puffing smoke!
