Default 06 nightster wheel fit my 06 street bob?

Title pretty much explains it, I just picked up a front wheel from an 06 nightster with the intentions of puting it on one of my sportsters. However I purchased an 06 street bob today and it has a damaged front wheel, so I am thinking this could be a good temporary solution.

Will this wheel fit? Do I need to change bearings or anything?

Thanks guys.

i am pretty sure the nightster has 25mm front axel so no they will not work... but i have been wrong before... it was a tuesday... i remember it well

if you do want to make it work you would have to find the right OD bearing with a ID of 1 inch, then cut some spacers for the bearing spacer, then make some wheel spacers to space the rotor and the fork legs... alot of work to do a temp fix bud... sorry wish i had better news for you

Lace the nightster rim and spokes to your hub

Unless its a mag wheel then change the bearings and space it out

Thanks guys, what size axle am I running on the street bob? 3/4 right? I was hoping since they are both narrow glide front ends that it would match up.

I think I am going to just go ahead and re lace the nightster wheel to my hub.

I also tracked down a local guy who has a factory spoked wheel from an 07 street bob. Are these the same as my 06?

Thanks for the help guys.

PREVIOUS POST EDITED: I was thinking that the spoke count was different between the nightster and the dyna, but thats just on the 48's 16" rim.

Cheers,
Kent
