Default DYN OiED

Was looking for some feedback from any of you who have installed the DYN OiED on your 2006 Dyna. My scoot is stock and pings when you grab a handful of throttle. Been that way since Day 1. Do any error codes appear with this version? Thanks.

That's a great looking bike, you obviously have taken care of it..

and I wouldn't worry about getting booted, lot's of us have or have had Japanese bikes..

They're cool as long as they are not the "Fugazi" cruiser harley clones..

I wouldn't own a metric cruiser any more than I would own a harley sportbike...

Looks good man...

Thanks rmatt34. I agree with you on Japaneese cruisers, but I sure do enjoy my old UJM. Fun to ride and takes me back 30 years, which at my age, is a good thing!

Grumpy,
On my '06 LR got a stage 1 download, Zippers A/C and Rush slip ons out of the chute from the dealer, well, actually dealer put SE A/C on it and I switched to the Zippers A/C when I put on the Mud modified cover. That said, never really had any pinging problems but decided to add the OIEDs just to be safe. Bike runs better with them, throttle response improved and decel pop decreased. Can't say I got any more ponies from it though. Been running great for past 10k miles. Only issue is CE light will come on if I idle for more than about 30 seconds, it goes off once I start riding again. I recommend them so long as you're not looking for more ponies.

I tell you what. I have a set of them sitting on a shelf gathering dust. PM me your address and I will get them in the mail tomorrow.

I would rather see someone get some use out of them than clutter my garage.

Thanks to you all for the info and (BevisRules) I will send you my address and a few $$$ for them. Are they the version for 06 Dynas as I understand that year uses a specific type? If I might ask, is there a reason you didn't use them on your scoot?

Yes, they are for the 2006 dyna.

I ran them for about a month and then "upgraded" the engine to 95ci with a DirectLink tuner. Didn't have a need for the OiEDs any longer.

Don't worry about $$$. They can't cost any more than a couple of bucks to ship them through the post office.

A dumb question? what fuel are you using. If you are using a low octane this could be your problem. You should be using the highest octane available. This will usually cure any pinking. good luck
