Does anybody know if Race-Tech has Gold valves, springs, etc. for the new 49mm forks?
There's nothing specifically listed. But I noticed that the fork tubes carry the same part numbers as a V-Rod. External measurements are the same, too.
I ordered parts for a V-Rod from Zanotti's, and they should be here pretty soon. I'll probably get around to installing them in the next few weeks. I'll let you know how it goes.
On that same, have you noticed there are no drains in the fork legs? To change the fluids, you have to remove the fork tubes and turn them upside down. I'm going to drill drain holes while it's all apart.
I will sure be interested to see your follow up report! Did you order Race Tech parts using Drag Specilaties part numbers? My 06 rises and dives way to much!!
I am going to put the progressive front lowering kit in will that stiffin things up?
Clayman, yes the "Cruise Control" lowering kit from Progressive will stiffen up your front end. That's what I installed. I lowered mine 1" (the kit lets you leave it stock height, or lower it 1" or 2") and I installed SE oil at the same time. It took some time getting used to how stiff it is now, but once I did I loved it.

Yes, I did. I went to the Zanotti Motor web site, and used their search engine. They sent me a note back saying they were not positive they would fit. We'll just have to see how it goes.
