Default Recomendations for lowing a 93FXDL

Shocks or lowering blocks? I know what to do up front.

Thanks, JC

My suggestion for you is to get yourself some shorter than stock shocks off eBay…
Or go to this site http://www.skullmanonline.com/shocks.html
Good luck

Depends on your budget. Lowering blocks work fine and are 60 bucks. Cheap shocks an inch shorter get the bike lower but ride suffers. High end shocks that cost 500 dollars and up-wards are a great option but you pay for it. Progressive Suspension and Motorcycle Metal are site sponsors. If shocks are what you decide, give them a buzz and see what they can do for you. I currently have 13 inch Progressive 440's with 1 inch lowering blocks on my '96 Low Rider.

I would ( and did ) change shocks , blocks increase the angle of the shock

Thanks guys, I'm a machinist by trade and could make the blocks , but my concern was the angle. I'll go with the shocks.

Later, JC
