I have been looking at both the Vintage Solo , the Tripper and the Regal Duke. Being short with a 29" inseam I don't want to be moved back on the bike or sit too high, so I am leaning towards the Tripper Solo Tuck & Roll, which I think would look great on the FXDF, and the Wide Tripper Black Diamond Stitch. How would either one of these position the rider vs stock?
Thought I'd chime in since I just got a Wide Touring Solo w/backrest for my '08 Fat Bob, and it doesn't fit either! I am at least 1/4" away from the hole lining up on the tab. I know they can be forced to fit per your previous post, but I would guess I would lose my return privileges at Dennis Kirk (wouldn't be as new at that point).
Is this problem due to the "one size fits all Dynas", even though they have different fenders? Other manufacturers make different seats for different models.
I am also not sure if I can live with the looks. That is one wide azz seat! I would like to see if the comfort is worth it, but I can't because of the fit.
Unless someone has some words of wisdom to remedy the problem, It's going back

If I recall, I had to slightly adjust mine to fit too, mainly the front tab had to be bent down a little to set up the rear tab and fender hole Nut Sert. This will allow the front of the seat to go forward a bit to set the rear tab. Works great! The wide Azzz seat is what makes this seat more comphy.. I can ride with a bad back for about 125 miles before a break.. Won't go to any another seat for a Dyna, especially after experimenting with others prior to this Solo.
