Has anyone installed the V&H Fuel pack on their 2010 Wide Glide. I just ordered mine from Eastern Performance and it should arrive in a few days along with my bigshots. The problem I see is that there is very little room under the left side fuse panel cover where you have to make hte connection. Also there is very little room under the seat.
Hey bud,i installed one about a month ago and mine was a bit of a pain because the one on youtube doesnt have an an alarm and mine has so i couldnt put it where they say to put it.i had to relocate the alarm and now they share a similar space under the seat.Just be patient and you will finaly be able to jam the seat back on.Ive done a few other mods so if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.
Fitted mine to my 2010 FXDC about 4 months ago, have to remove the fuse panel to re-route connector and it is a tight fit under the seat but it fits O.K.
The vid on there web-site is a good start to the job, just take your time.
Thanks for all the help. I was concerned becuase the list for Vance and Hines listed for the 2009 Fat Bob and Dyna Super Glide but not the 2010 Wide Glide, however the tech folks at V&H said it would fit. Again thanks my pipes shuold be here on Wednesday and my HD SE air cleaner on Friday. I hope to have it installed this weekend.
My Pipes and Fuel pack came in on Wednesday and I instlled them last night. Installign the fuel pack was actually very simple and fit much easier than I thought it would. The only down side was that the threads on theO2 sensor port on the rear pipe appeared to be cut with a dull tap. Looking at it closely it didnt appear to be from the chroming process or from welding slag. The threads looked almost rounded over. Luckily a buddy of mine had the correct Tap so I retaped the threads. Total time ot install the pipes and fule pack was less than 2 hours. Now just waiting on my SE AC to come in. By the way I installed shortshots not bigshots, dont know why I put that in the orginal post!
By the way I purchased the pipes and fuel pack from Eastern Performance Cycle. They have great deals right now. The pipes were listed at $299 and the Fuel Pack at $218. When you go to check out the price actually came up at $284.96 for the pipes and $208.95 for the fuel pack. They also had free shippng. I assume they will have something similar for other V&H pipes.
