My '06 FXDCI has factory slip ons from an '07 (drilled out) which are more free flowing than the '06's and a K&N air filter kit. No remapping was required and the bike runs much better (richer) and sounds great. I recommend trying this combination before spending lots of $$$ on after market pipes, filter and downloads.

Keith: Yes.......if you get the SERT (screaming eagle race tuner) it is a programmable tuner that aloows you to completely adjust the entire ECM settings. I had the stage1 done with the SERT and dyno tuned at my dealer and it's like a completely different bike. Very smooth, high revving.....smooth power..and starts with one touch.
