I messed up today. My new bike had some moisture on it and a little dust. I wasent thinking and I wiped it off with a clean cloth. Now i have really fine scratches all over. Can i wax them off or am i stuck with them?
Sick in Alabama
Thanks
Jim
Just the tip of the iceberg, sooner or later you'll get a real deal scratch or nick. It just happens. I got one on my tank that went to the primer and the paint wasn't a year old yet.
If you use your bike, your bike will look used. That is all there is to it.
If you don't use your bike, you bike will look unused.
I have little nicks and pecks in the forks, frame and trees. All from rocks, bugs, and weather. My bike isn't even a year old. What can you do? It sucks to have those things happen.
If you have a clear on your paint you could probably use a good wax, and get those scratches fixed up, but believe me. You're going to get worse.
I picked up some Black Magic liquid wax the other day after reading a bunch of positive reviews. Stuff really does work. I have a 2 month old Vivid Black 2010 Super Glide Custom, and it really did remove the swirl marks that were on there when I bought it. I'd give it a try.
