I am having alot of trouble trying to fish in my switch wiring into my new Wild One 10" Drag Bars with strait risers. I got a fish wire in but can't get the wiring to make the bend down the risers. I have tried dish soap.
I used weedeater line .... ran that through the bars first. I then tied a knot in the line and offset that back past the connectors and wrapped it all up in electrical tape. The knot wouldnt let the the line slip out, but kept the bundle tight enough to easily pull through. I used air tool oil as well.
By individual conductors I meant all taped together at the head, but not taped the length of them in the bars, and yes the end must have a taper to it. If you gently pull as you push the other end they will guide through, having them as a loose bundle allows them to adjust, if you have them all taped together in the pipe it is very difficult if not impossible to make the turn.

Very well put, I have nothing to add just wanting to say my drag bars with welded on risers were waaaayyyy harder to wire than other bars (apes, mini apes, etc.) All I can say is it took a while and a hell of alot of persistance to get it done. Good luck man, sounds like your on the right track....
