2011 Wide Glide Exhaust

Well I finally got 81 miles on my new scoot yesterday. I couldnt ask for a more smooth finer machine. The first thing on my mind is to change the exhaust as the oem is too quiet. I really like the vance and hines 2-1 as the 2-2 is on too many bikes for my taste. I have read alot of threads saying no remap is needed as long as the air breather is not changed, any disagreements on this? I also want a low rumble and mellow sound, I don't want it too loud. Thanks!

I added slipons when I first bought mine. The throttle response was pretty crappy. SE intake and tuner made a big difference. You can run them without but be prepared...

What is the exhaust you have on there now? You had it remapped for those pipes?

I've got Bassani Fireflights. Lots louder, better than stock. Kind of pricey. But I'm very happy with it. No remap needed

V&H Straightshots - Original remapping was fine with the new pipes. I'll tweak it this Spring when I can get some seat time.

I think you will like the VH 2-1, I installed one on a friends rocker and it has a good deep sound. It wakes up pretty good when you get on it but at cruising speeds isn't real loud.
